Resisting the Gamer’s Dilemma

Abstract Intuitively, many people seem to hold that engaging in acts of virtual murder videogames is morally permissible, whereas child molestation impermissible. The Gamer’s Dilemma (Luck Ethics Inf Technol 11:31–36, 2009) challenges these intuitions by arguing it unclear whether there a relevant difference between two types actions. There are main responses the literature this dilemma. First, attempts resolve dilemma defending an account moral differences and molestation. Second, dissolve undermining ground it.
